Clash Royale review
Clash Royale is a real-time card strategy developed by Supercell to add a completely different genre to the universe of their mighty hit Clash of Clans. The potential player is called upon to "catch" a familiar style, units similar in purpose on the battlefield, and extremely dynamic, despite the apparent simplicity, gameplay. This all sounds like a recipe for a guaranteed epic win.
What is it About
Let's start with the basics. Namely – from the game mechanics. To win, the participant must destroy as many towers of the enemy as possible, which is always another player, with the exception of a few fights in the obligatory local tutorial.
At the start of the battle, each side has 3 buildings available: a pair of watchtowers on the flanks and a "royal" tower in the center. The destruction of the latter automatically leads to victory in the battle.
Diversity Of Cards
You have more than enough forces and means for the virtual genocide of enemies. The range of attacking and defensive units expands from level to level. Giants aiming at building extermination. A Valkyrie who specializes in area attack. Goblins capable of causing a lot of trouble to the enemy. Witches, dragons, horse knights, archers, and so on. The tactical possibilities that open up before the player are almost endless. But, not everything is so simple!
Peculiarities
At each moment of the battle, the player has a limited amount of elixir that can be spent on summoning creatures or building temporary defences. And the key to victory is not only skillful tactical maneuvering or the ability to counter the enemy's attack with suitable forces. But also competent time management, which allows you to take into account the vicissitudes of randomness.
The chests, which are a coveted mandatory trophy given for winning battles, as a rule, do not contain cards of really cool units. Unlike the in-game store, which is ready to provide the player with what he wants at any time for a certain fee. Including additional cards designed to upgrade existing units.
Pros
- Excellent graphics;
- Lots of different cards and deck building techniques;
- Improved clan wars.
Cons
- Imbalanced cards;
- Toxic community of players;
- Pass royale is a waste of money.
Good
For the majority of users who are not tuned in to voluntarily-forced donation, battles starting from the 3rd level gradually turn into "sweaty suffering" that has nothing to do with fun. A random drop of cards from the deck also adds fuel to the fire, limiting the options for tactical decisions at each moment of the battle. Of course, all of the above doesn't make Clash Royale a bad game. The gameplay here catches with its dynamics and the need to make important tactical decisions every second.
