Angry Birds 2 review
Angry Birds 2 is an arcade game in which you use a slingshot to bring down evil pigs and their castles. According to the Finnish company Rovio, several million dollars were spent on the development of Angry Birds 2 – to improve the graphics, physics, music, animation, and many other game elements.
Graphics
After the first launch and passing several levels in Angry Birds 2, it became clear that the Finnish company really did a great job. The graphic component of the second part has changed beyond recognition – the game began to look not like an arcade simulator, but like a full-fledged 3D game. Of course, this affected the minimum system requirements for the game. Even on the iPhone 6, Angry Birds 2 takes a long time to load, but it can be forgiven for its amazing looks.
Gameplay
From the classic Angry Birds in the second part, only the general principle of the game remains, while even the levels have undergone global rework. Now each level is subdivided into two – this allows you to significantly diversify the gameplay. The ability to interact with the landscape has appeared, which also helps you get new sensations from the new game.
Different game elements have appeared on the levels. For example, these are fans that change the flight path of birds and portals through which both our heroes and fragments of buildings can fly. Once you get used to them, you will get many options for passing the levels.
Weather Makes Difference
The biggest surprise in Angry Birds 2 is the weather changing from level to level. It looks incredible. Now birds attack pigs not only in clear weather but also in the rain, thunderstorm, etc. An animation system has been added to the game. If you pull a slingshot with a bird on the pigs, then their frightened looks will become visible. It looks pretty fun, but first of all, this game element was added for children.
The soundtrack in Angry Birds 2 has also improved greatly as to previous games in the series. New melodies are more lively, and the sounds are more realistic.
Pros
- Improved graphics;
- More than 250 levels with different stages;
- New set of spells.
Cons
- Sound bugs occur;
- Sometimes progress can not be saved;
- Animation may freeze while loading the arena.
Great
Despite its free distribution policy, Rovio has managed to create a truly addictive and colorful game that will definitely find new fans. Angry Birds 2 has every chance to revive player interest in the series. It is much simpler than the first part but much more dynamic. Here you need to calculate fewer flight paths and material properties, but there are more explosions and fun.
